Isn’t that how the best stories start? Not THAT many years ago, my great grandma would regale me with tales of her childhood in Africa, and I felt connected to a world I had never been to. Those tellings are also the reason I still, to this day, check my toilets for snakes. Then, in second grade, our teacher had us “explore the world” by creating cardboard suitcases, paper passports and we would collect “passport stamps” by learning about different cultures and countries. The ONE country I became absolutely enthralled with? Madagascar. And I have been dreaming about exploring Africa ever since,

In this case, it is plan a trip to Africa! But it’s not just me going, oh no. One of my favorite things to do as a travel agent, is bring friends and clients along with me on adventures. So late last year, I finally found an amazing supplier to work with, and the planning began. Now, after several edits (and five billion and two questions asked by me), we have the most GORGEOUSLY curated, luxe bush & beach safari.
While Madagascar is the epitome of bucket list travel for me, this trip wasn’t just about me, so it ended up getting slated for a later travel date. Not that I needed an excuse to go back to Africa, but you really need at least a week to explore and make the most of your time there. I’m so glad I asked me this question A sanctuary for baby orphan elephants & rhinos, kisses from the world’s rarest species of giraffe, posh and intimate tented camps with infinity pools, sleeping under the stars at one of the world’s most intimate and exclusive lodges, camel rides, horse rides with the wildlife, game drives, picnic lunches in the bush, learning about conservancy and local culture and lifestyle, luxe lodges with gorgeous pools, the Big Five (and more), sunrise hot air balloons over the Serengeti with champagne breakfast in the bush, more game drives, luxe tented camp with morning tea and coffee service that will be exclusively hosting our group, evening laughs and adventure sharing around the campfire…all followed by a beachside stay on the white beaches of Zanzibar at a luxury resort….plus meals and drinks included!
African safaris tend to be on many a bucket lists, but it can be SO MUCH MORE than a small tent in the bush.
